Frequently Asked Questions

  • What does a travel agent do?
Here, at A to B Travel Agency, we research destinations and accommodations, book your desired vacation, communicate with vendors, and provide you deals that you don’t always have access to! We are also available to you while you are traveling for any needs that may arise.
  • How do travel agents get deals?
We have relationships with vendors! We bring them clientele, so to thank us, they provide us deals that the public does not always have access to. We have access to HUNDREDS of booking platforms that are only available to certified agents.
  • Do I have to have an exact destination in mind?
Absolutely not! Whether you know exactly where you want to go, or just know you need to get away, A to B Travel Agency is able to help!
  • How much do I pay you?
NOTHING. Yes, that’s right NOTHING. We get paid by the vendor (hotel, cruise line, resort etc). These commissions are already included in the cost you are paying, even if you book the trip yourself, so it truly does not cost any more to use our services. Plus, we do all the work for you!
  • Do I still get my frequent flier miles and hotel reward points?
This depends on the vendor, but typically YES! If we are not sure, A to B Travel Agency will contact the vendor BEFORE we book to make sure we get you your rewards!
  • How expensive is cruising?
This all depends on the type of cruise you are looking for. Cruises can range from as low as $50 per night per person clear up to several hundred per night. It all depends on what your wants and needs are!
  • What is included in cruising?
A lot! Accommodations (rooms), meals, activities on the ship, and on-board entertainment/shows.
  • What is not included?
This depends on the cruise company, but the most common “extras” are: shore excursions, alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages, spa treatments, and sometimes “specialty” restaurants.
  • Can our whole family go or is it adults only?
The short answer is "yes" to both of these. Cruising is a great family vacation because there is something for everyone. There are specific cruise lines that are adults only for those who want a more elevated experience.
  • I get motion sick, won’t cruising be hard for me?
This is a great question and is a concern for a lot of people. Most cruise ships are so large, that many people don’t notice the ship is moving. However, our philosophy is better safe than sorry! We are a proponent of the nausea patch that goes behind your ear. These can stay on the whole cruise and a lot of people have success with them. Other options for nausea while on board are; nausea bracelets, Dramamine, ginger ale, ginger snaps, etc. *Disclaimer - We are not doctors, this is not professional medical advice. Be sure to speak to a licensed doctor for any health concerns.*
  • Do I need a passport?
If your cruise departs and returns at the same U.S. port, you do not need a passport, only a government issued proof of citizenship. Even though passports are not required, we do still suggest them. If something happens and you are stuck in a foreign country without a passport, that is a problem! Passports are valid for 10 years, so our suggestion is to just get one and not stress!
  • Are all resorts all-inclusive?
NO. A lot of resorts are all-inclusive, but not all of them. A to B Travel Agency will do the research for you and let you decide which option is better for you!
  • Can my whole family go?
Yes! There are many resorts that are family friendly. Again, A to B does the research for you so we can best fit your needs!
  • We want a relaxing getaway. Are there resorts that do not allow children?
Yes! There are also many resorts that are designed for “couples” or adults only!
  • Do I need a passport?
Yes! To go outside of the U.S., a passport is required.
  • What is included at an all-inclusive resort?
Accommodations (room), food, non-alcoholic drinks, alcoholic drinks, activities, and entertainment.
